Preparation: Baking mix for 12 oat muffins

Preparation 15 minutes, baking time approx. 30 minutes


Dough: 175 g soft butter, 1 egg
In addition: 200 g diced apples (preferably tart varieties such as Elstar or Boskoop)

Optional: 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 30 g slivers of almonds (for the crumble topping)

Ingredients for vegan preparation:

Dough: 100 g soft margarine, 100 ml apple pulp

Bake muffins:

1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C with top/bottom heat and line a 12 muffin tin with liners. (But it also works without a muffin tin. Just use the molds
place on a baking sheet and get started.)

2. Pour the baking mix into a bowl.
Add the butter and egg and mix with your hands or the mixer (dough hook) until a crumbly dough forms. Remove 1/3 of the dough and use for the crumble
Set topping aside. Add the diced apples to the rest of the dough and knead evenly.

The batter remains crumbly and the apple pieces are loosely bound to the crumble batter. Baking then combines the crumble and apples.

For the vegan preparation, you knead the baking mixture with margarine and apple pulp.

3. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cases. To do this, scoop out a heaping portion from the dough with a tablespoon, fill into the molds and
Lightly press. Optionally mix the batter for the crumble topping with cinnamon and slivers of almonds. Then spread the crumbles evenly on top of the muffin cups
to distribute.

4. The baking time is about 30 minutes at medium rack level. Let cool on a wire rack before eating.

Tip: Serve with vanilla sauce, vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
