The delicately yellow and nutty-tasting flour is obtained by grinding 100% whole chickpeas. It has a high protein and fibre content, contains iron and is a source of zinc and vitamin B6. The fine roasting makes it particularly flavourful. Chickpea flour is very versatile and is suitable for both sweet and savoury dishes. Whether for cooking or baking - chickpea flour is a valuable addition and tasty alternative to conventional flour. It is also suitable as an egg substitute: 1 egg can be replaced by 1 tbsp of the flour + 2 tbsp of water.
Use
For making falafel and hummus, for pancakes, meatballs, dips and desserts, also suitable for thickening sauces and soups. In conventional recipes, up to 20% of the amount of cereal flour can be replaced with chickpea flour. 80g chickpea flour replaces 100g cereal flour. 1 tbsp chickpea flour + 2 tbsp water replaces one egg.
