    Shatavari-Vanille-Tonic mit Mandelmilch

    Shatavari-Vanilla Tonic with Almond Milk

    Gentle. Nourishing. Feminine. An Ayurvedic ritual drink for balance, comfort and hormonal harmony – ideal during times of stress, inner restlessness or cycle-related complaints.

    Ingredients (for 1–2 servings)

    1 tsp Shatavari powder
    1 tsp ghee or almond butter
    250ml unsweetened almond milk (warm, not boiling)
    1–2 tsp whole cane sugar or date syrup (to taste)
    ¼ tsp ground vanilla or seeds from half a vanilla pod
    1 pinch mace (optional, for depth & warmth)
    1 pinch mineral salt

    Preparation (5 minutes)

    Roast: Melt ghee or almond butter in a small pot over low heat. Gently roast Shatavari powder in it for 30 seconds until a fine, sweet aroma rises.
    Add liquid: Pour in almond milk and warm over medium heat for about 3 minutes. Do not boil – Shatavari is heat-sensitive.
    Refine: Stir in vanilla, sweetener, mace and a pinch of salt.
    Froth: Blend with a milk frother or immersion blender to create foam – this makes the tonic especially creamy and fine.
    Serve: Pour into your favorite cup, drink mindfully and breathe deeply.

    Ayurveda Tips:

    Effects: This tonic strengthens Ojas (life energy), nourishes mucous membranes, calms the nervous system and harmonizes the hormonal system. Especially beneficial during the luteal phase, with PMS, menopausal discomfort or general exhaustion.

    Vata: Highly recommended – nourishing, calming, stabilizing

    Pitta: Harmonizing – cooling almond milk & vanilla have a balancing effect

    Kapha: Enjoy in moderation – optionally use less sweetness or combine with a little ginger
