Rapunzel - Red Camargue top quality rice - 500g

Noble rice speciality with a deep garnet-red colour. This I.G.P. top-quality rice is protected and is only grown in the Camargue, in the south of France. This particular speciality grows there on soils rich in minerals and clay, which gives it its characteristic flavour. Wonderfully aromatic, slightly nutty and firm to the bite, the perfect side dish and eye-catcher on your plate.

Preparation

For 250g of rice, bring 2-2.5 times the amount of water to the boil, add the rice and simmer for approx. 40-45 minutes over a low heat in a closed pan. Remove from the heat and leave the rice to rest for 5 minutes. Only salt the rice after cooking.
