Ayurvedic ghee is clarified butter fat made according to the principles of Ayurveda. Milk quality and manufacturing process are subject to extensive quality controls. The organic milk from which the sour cream butter and later the ghee is obtained is kept as natural as possible. This milk and the butter derived from it are produced according to the guidelines of the Bioland Association. Slow cooking of the sour cream butter causes the water it contains to evaporate. Milk protein and milk sugar components (lactose) precipitate and are removed by subsequent filtration.
This creates clarified butter fat according to Ayurvedic principles.
Note: Ghee is a natural food product. The storage temperature determines its structure, which can vary from solid/hardened to granular/crystalline and liquid.
