Details
Capsella bursa-pastoris, as shepherd's purse is botanically known, can be found in the medicinal plant literature because of its contracting and thus hemostatic and circulatory-regulating properties. In tea, for example, it is used as a home remedy for very heavy menstrual bleeding.
Attention: Due to its astringent properties, which also promotes labor, shepherd's purse tea is not recommended during pregnancy.
