Chickpeas have a very light, pleasant taste. This protein-rich food is valuable not only for vegetarians. Chickpea flour is used very frequently in Indian cuisine: vegetable balls (Kofta), fried vegetables in chickpea batter (Pakora), flatbreads and sweets (Laddhu) are well-known specialties made from roasted chickpea flour.
