Cosmoveda - BIO Ashwagandha Churna, Withania somnifera

Ashwagandha - Whitania somnifera - is an evergreen, bushy plant 0.5-1.5 m tall with fleshy roots, simple green oval leaves and small, spherical, orange-red berries, whose root is used in Ayurvedic nutrition. The finely and gently ground powder from the root (at temperatures below 40°C) in our production comes from our Indian and Sri Lankan Fair Trade and organic projects.

According to Ayurveda, this product correlates at the level of harmonious balance of the Doshas¹ through balancing the six taste profiles. It provides the taste profiles of pungent, bitter and astringent.

Usage Recommendation

Take one level dosing spoon daily (divided into 2 portions) between meals. Pour boiling water over it, let it steep briefly and drink warm. The daily consumption amount of 2.70g herbal powder contains 6.48mg polyphenols².
²Polyphenols are bioactive, secondary plant compounds that shape the Dosha character of plants in the form of dyes, flavor compounds and tannins.
To date, the legislator has not established an NRV value (reference amount for daily intake) for secondary plant compounds. The amount stated here corresponds to traditional Ayurvedic recommendations.
The stated recommended daily consumption amount must not be exceeded. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of small children.
