Textured pea and field bean protein, coarse schnitzel. High in protein: 53% vegetable protein
Preparation:
Soak the chunks in hot water with a pinch of salt or vegetable stock for 20 minutes. Alternatively, it can also simply be cooked in the sauce!
Recipe idea: Gyros wraps with coarse pea shreds
Ingredients for the marinade:
1 tbsp thyme & oil each
1 teaspoon each of salt , marjoram & tomato paste
½ teaspoon each of coriander , cumin , paprika powder , dried onions
small clove of garlic squeezed
1 pinch each of chilli flakes & pepper
150 ml of water(Ingredients are available from Miraherba - just follow the links!)
Preparation:
Soak 70 g protein chunks in the marinade for 30-40 minutes. Then add 1 tbsp flour , mix the marinade again well with the protein chunks and sear them.
Then fill the wraps with lettuce, tomato, onion rings and serve with your favorite dip.
