Collection: manuka health

Manuka honey is harvested by bees in New Zealand during the only a few weeks long flowering season of the manuka plant. Today we know that it is the naturally contained active ingredient methylglyoxal (MGO) that makes manuka honey so unique.

The development and maturation of MGO begins at the same moment when the bee deposits its honey in the honeycomb, and its respective strength and activity potential is closely linked to the quality of the flower nectar processed by the bees.
