Gokshura - which botanists call Tribulus terrestris - is a ground-spreading, one to two-year-old herb growing up to 90 cm tall. In German, Gokshura is also called ground caltrops or, due to the flower shape, ground stars. It has pinnately compound leaves and yellow flowers resembling buttercups, which develop into spherical fruits. In Ayurvedic nutrition, all parts of the plant are used. The finely and gently ground (below 40°C) powder of the dried whole plant comes from Cosmoveda Fair Trade and organic projects in India and Sri Lanka.

Gokshura is also contained in the myrrh resin pellets by Ajapa in Gokshuradee Guggulu.

Recommended Intake

Take 3 capsules (0.35 g each, 0.25 g net content of herbal powder) three times daily. The daily consumption amount corresponds to 2.25 g of herbal powder. The stated recommended daily intake must not be exceeded.

Dietary supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet. Keep out of reach of small children.
