Manjistha is known as dyer's root in our shop and has the botanical name Rubia cordifolia. It is an evergreen climbing plant that grows up to 1.5 meters high with 5-10 cm long, kidney-shaped leaves and yellowish flowers. Its roots, which can reach up to 1.5 meters in length, are used in Ayurvedic nutrition - a red pigment can also be extracted from its roots, which is how the plant got its German name. The powder of the dried root, finely and gently ground in production (below 40 °C), comes from Cosmoveda Fair Trade and organic projects in India and Sri Lanka. Thanks to its color, it is also used in some skin oils by Khadi, for example in the Khadi Facial and Body Oil Pink Lotus.

Recommended Usage

Take four capsules three times daily, each containing 0.31 g (0.21 g net herb powder content). The daily recommended amount corresponds to 2.52 g herb powder. Do not exceed the stated recommended daily amount.
