Cosmoveda - BIO Shatavari Churna

Shatavari, also known as wild asparagus - the botanical name is Asparagus racemosus - is a climbing, perennial plant that can grow up to 7 meters high. From its white fragrant flowers, red berry fruits develop. The wild asparagus has pronounced rhizomes and leaves that thicken spikily at the lower part. In Ayurvedic nutrition, the root and fresh juice are used to create a churna. Churna simply means "powder" in Sanskrit, and it is a mixture of ground herbs and/or minerals used in Ayurvedic medicine.

Shatavari is also available in other forms - for example, in the Shatavari capsules from Nimi, as a sweetened hot drink Shatavari hot Instant Infusion, or as an Ayurvedic massage oil Shatavari Gritham.

Recommended Intake

Take 1 gram (approximately 1/3 tsp) three times daily with hot water between meals. The daily intake amounts to about 2.5 - 3 g of herbal powder. The recommended daily intake should not be exceeded.
