Indian frankincense, known by the Latin name Boswellia serrata, is called Shallaki in Sanskrit. The resin is extracted from a tree with papery, peeling bark and flower stamens up to 25 cm long. In Ayurvedic nutrition, both the resin and bark are used. The frankincense is carefully ground into a powder - the Churna.

Recommended Dosage
Take 1 gram (approximately 1/3 tsp) of Shallaki Churna three times daily with hot water between meals. The daily intake contains approximately 2.5 - 3 g of herbal powder. The recommended daily intake should not be exceeded. Dietary supplements should not be used as a replacement for a balanced and varied diet. Keep out of reach of small children.
