The Indian frankincense, with the Latin name Boswellia serrata, is called Shallaki in Sanskrit. The resin is extracted from a tree with papery bark and pollens up to 25 cm long. Resin and bark are used in Ayurvedic nutrition. The incense is carefully ground into a powder - the churna.

Consumption recommendation
Take 1 gram (corresponds to approx. 1/3 teaspoon) of shallaki churna three times a day with hot water between meals. The daily dose contains approx. 2.5 - 3 g herbal powder. The recommended daily dose should not be exceeded. Dietary supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet. Keep out of reach of small children.
