Cosmoveda - Vasaka Churna, Lung Herb

Vasaka - Adhatoda vasica - is an evergreen tree up to 3 meters tall with lanceolate leaves, white or purple flowers, and four-seeded fruits. In Ayurvedic nutrition, leaves, flowers, roots, and fruits are used. The powder from the leaves in our production is finely and gently ground (below 40°C) and comes from our Indian and Sri Lankan Fair Trade and organic projects.

According to Ayurveda, this product correlates at the level of harmonious balance of the Doshas¹ through balancing the six taste profiles. It provides the taste profiles of bitter and astringent.

Usage Recommendation

Take one level dosing spoon daily (divided into 2 portions) after meals. Pour boiling water over it, let it steep briefly, and drink warm. The daily consumption amount of 2.30g herbal powder contains 28.06mg polyphenols².

²Polyphenols are bioactive, secondary plant compounds that shape the Dosha character of plants in the form of pigments, flavoring substances, and tannins.

The legislator has not yet set an NRV (Reference Nutrient Intake for daily consumption) for secondary plant substances. The amount specified here corresponds to traditional Ayurvedic recommendations.
