Vitamin D holds a special place among vitamins because it can be obtained through diet as well as produced by the body itself through sun exposure.
However, vitamin D is found in limited amounts in foods. The highest concentrations are found in fatty fish varieties, such as salmon or herring. Therefore, dietary intake alone, especially with a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle, is unfortunately not always sufficient.
Additionally, the skin's ability to produce vitamin D decreases significantly with age.
Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system and normal calcium levels in the blood, which in turn supports the maintenance of normal bones and teeth.

GSE uses natural Vitamin D from dried two-spored button mushroom (Agaricus bisporus), commonly known as cultivated mushroom, for the Vitamin D Compact product. The button mushroom is a fungal species from the genus Agaricus and is the most widely cultivated edible mushroom globally. The two-spored button mushroom was originally probably native to the Northern Hemisphere in Asia, North Africa, Europe, and North America, but is now distributed worldwide.
The product is vegan and free from gluten and lactose. The brown glass packaging optimally protects the valuable ingredients.
