ORGANIC Spirulina from the spiral-shaped blue-green algae Spirulina platensis is one of the oldest known organisms. It is not a seaweed, but thrives in highly alkaline waters in subtropical areas. The Aztecs and Mayans already knew about the special effects of this microalgae many centuries ago. Our pure, natural spirulina is grown without pesticides in mineral-rich water in a completely isolated location. The proximity to the equator offers an optimal climate. The strong sunlight and the favorable water composition allow the algae to develop optimally.
