According to Ayurveda teachings, spices and herbs help maintain the balance of the Doshas at a subtle energetic level. In Ayurveda, they are an important part of daily nutrition. They supply the body with sufficient secondary plant compounds and corresponding rasas and gunas (taste and properties of plants) and thereby harmonize the body's functions. However, they alone do not replace a healthy, balanced diet.

The effectiveness of Ayurvedic herbs is based on traditional knowledge of Indian medicine and works at the level of the Doshas. Therefore, no effect in the sense of modern Western science is claimed. In particular, the aspect of balancing the Doshas has no equivalent in our science, so there is no confirmation in the Western scientific sense for the effects described in Ayurveda.

Application

Adults should take 1-2 teaspoons (5 ml) once or twice daily after meals. Children should take only half the amount.
