Shilajit emerges from rocks in the lower Himalayas, Vindhya and other mountainous regions of Nepal during hot weather periods, where iron is abundant. It flows naturally from rock fissures or forms as a tar-like substance created through the natural decomposition of plant matter in the soil. Shilajit consists of a compact mass of plant organic matter and has a bitter taste. The black variety is most commonly used after being purified through elaborate processes.

Shilajit comprises 60-80% organic substances, 20-40% mineral components, and contains approximately 5% trace elements. It contains over 85 natural ionic minerals as well as fulvic acid*, humic acid, and valuable secondary plant compounds.

The Sanskrit word "Shilajit" translates to "Conqueror of the Mountains" and "Destroyer of Weakness".

Shilajit is also known by the name "Mumijo".

The Indian Ayurvedic master Charaka, author of the "Charaka Samhita", praised Shilajit in the highest terms. Ancient Ayurvedic texts describe his statement that Shilajit can make the body as hard as stone and there is no imbalance that cannot be balanced with Shilajit.

Application

Recommended intake for adults:
