Lungwort contains mucilage, saponins, silicic acid and other secondary plant compounds.
Application
To prepare a cup of lungwort tea, pour one to two teaspoons of lungwort with boiling water and let it steep for 10 minutes. You can also mix lungwort with other herbs to create a cold and flu tea.
Like every effective medicinal herb, lungwort tea should not be consumed for longer than six weeks continuously. Afterwards, you should take a break and, if necessary, drink tea made from a similarly acting herb for the next six weeks before drinking lungwort tea again. This helps you avoid potential habituation or unwanted long-term effects.
