A characterful organic bitter tea for clear moments and conscious routines: No. 14 – Clarifying combines chicory root, cinchona bark, sarsaparilla and gokshura into a full-bodied, lightly bitter infusion with delicate vanilla notes. Ideal as a short "bitter moment" after eating or whenever you enjoy something pleasantly herbal and bitter. Caffeine-free and with no artificial flavors.
Taste
Tea No. 14 has a herbal and slightly bitter, yet full-bodied taste thanks to organic chicory (incidentally the main ingredient in grain-based coffee substitutes). Cinchona bark adds further bitter flavor notes through its tannins and alkaloids such as quinine. Sarsaparilla brings a delicate vanilla note. If you don't enjoy the taste right away - we often need to get used to the flavor of bitter substances. Try adding a little honey or sugar.
Preparation
Pour 1 tablespoon of tea with ½ liter of boiling water and let steep covered for 5 minutes.

Effects
The natural bitter substances it contains stimulate appetite and promote saliva flow. They have a positive influence on the production of various digestive fluids. This supports the body's natural processes and thus clarifies the srotas, as the body channels are called in Ayurveda.

Cinchona Bark
Quinine is traditionally derived from cinchona bark, which is also found in tonic water and has been used in treating malaria. Cinchona bark also contains bitter substances.Sarsaparilla

Gokshura
