Finely ground red sandalwood is traditionally used for incense and cosmetic applications. It emanates a warm, woody fragrance.
Uses
Red Sandalwood in the Kitchen
Red sandalwood powder spreads a sweet and spicy aroma. It blends well with coriander, rose, cinnamon and cloves. Besides tea preparation, where the ground red sandalwood serves as a flavor enhancer, it is also used in spice blends. It is excellent with quickly seared meat.
It is also suitable as a food coloring to dye baked goods, liqueurs or puddings red while giving them a spicy flavor at the same time.
Red Sandalwood for Incense
Ground red sandalwood is used to cleanse a room and for protective purposes.
Red Sandalwood for Homemade Cleansing Mask
Mix a paste from powder and a bowl of warm water and combine them together. Then apply to face and décolleté and let dry. Afterwards rinse immediately with water, dry and apply plenty of moisturizing cream.
