Nimi - Shilajit / Mumijo

Mumijo (in India: Shilajit) is an asphalt-like natural product with a characteristically resinous-smoky aroma. It has nothing to do with mummies - the syllable "mum" means wax in ancient Persian, which it resembles in consistency. Designations from other countries of origin can be translated as "mountain sweat," "mountain sap," or "oil of the mountains." The formation process of mumijo is still not fully understood. What is certain is that it can only form in locations above 1,000 meters in altitude, exposed to intense sunlight, and where the air is particularly pure. Additionally, a specific spectrum of plants must be present. This is especially the case in the Himalayas, the Altai Mountains, and certain regions of Kazakhstan. It likely forms over many years from the remains of certain plant species.
