The mugs are handcrafted in traditional workshops in India. Copper is a very soft material and it is inevitable that there will always be spots on the mug or bottle that do not appear to be pristine. Small scratches on the surface can never be completely avoided, sometimes there are slight roughnesses on an edge or the shape is not 100% exact. It's just manual work.
Of course, we check all items and only deliver goods that have no major defects. Smaller, production-related blemishes do not represent a defect in use and are no reason for a complaint.

Copper in Ayurveda
Drinking water drunk from a copper cup has significant health benefits and is also highly recommended in Ayurveda and health experts. Water from copper containers (referred to as "Tamra Jal" in Ayurvedic medicine) balances the three doshas Vata, Pitta and Kapha in the body by gently infusing the water with the beneficial health properties of copper.
Alkaline water thanks to copper
In addition, the Forrest & Love copper cups make the water they contain a natural alkaline drinking pleasure, which balances the pH value in the digestive tract, which is often too acidic. So that enough copper ions can diffuse into the water to shift the pH value of the water to the basic level, the water must stand in the beaker for 6-8 hours (preferably overnight).
Studies show that copper has antibacterial properties, strengthens our immune system, slows down aging and eliminates toxins.
Water from the copper cup helps relieve copper deficiency
Drinking from copper containers will help alleviate a copper deficiency. However, if you suffer from a copper deficiency, you should also consult your doctor.
How to care for your copper mug
The copper mug consists of 99.7% pure copper and therefore patinas naturally over time when exposed to water and oxygen. To clean the copper mug, simply sprinkle a pinch of salt, vinegar or baking soda on a slice of lemon and rub lightly onto the mug's surface. Lemon and salt form an acidic mixture that naturally removes the patina and restores the copper's shine. Once you're done with that, simply rinse with water and dry well.
Never wash your copper mug in the dishwasher.
