planting
Sowing in pots or balcony boxes is particularly easy with the seed discs. Fill the container with soil up to approx. 2 cm below the rim and press down. Place the seed disc on top, water well, cover thinly with soil or sand, moisten again and do not allow to dry out until germination.
When harvesting, do not cut individual leaves, but cut shoot tips. The plant then branches more and forms more leaf mass. The intensity of the spice is at its best just before flowering. Basis for the Pesto Genovese.
Sowing: early February to mid-September
Planting distance : One seed disc per plant pot
Harvest: early April to late Octobercontents
