Details
The goji berry is also known as the wolfberry. It grows on the wolfberry bush ( Lycium barbarum ), which belongs to the nightshade family. For centuries the berry has been used pure, as a powder, in teas and in traditional Chinese medicine. For a fruit it contains an extraordinary amount of amino acids, polysaccharides and important minerals. Goji berries also contain vitamin C and are a source of carotenoids.
The goji berries are grown in China.
