In naturopathy and folk medicine, marshmallow, whether as a root or leaf, whereby the root has significantly more mucilage, is attributed to the respiratory organs and the digestive tract. It can also be used for compresses, washes, gargling and baths.
Preparation
Brew 2 to 3 teaspoons per cup in cold water and leave to infuse for 8 hours. Then strain and drink 1-3 cups, also slightly warmed, in small sips daily.
