Miraherba - Indian Laurel / Tejpat / Bay - 20g
The leaves of the Indian laurel tree are traditionally used in Ayurveda as an aroma dispenser. It is also known to us as cinnamon leaf, mother cinnamon or under the English name "Indian Bay Leaf".
The leaf resembles our laurel and is valued in North Indian cuisine for its fine note of cinnamon, cardamom and cloves. It should not be missing, especially with biryani or korma (stew).

details
In Europe, the Indian laurel as a spice is rather unknown and difficult to obtain, but in the countries of the southern Himalayas the tree, which can be up to 20 meters high, can be found wild up to an altitude of 2400m.
use
Tejpat can be used as a spice for Indian cuisine, but the spicy scent also unfolds when smoking, for example.
In Ayurvedic medicine it is often found under the Hindi name Teipat. Here Teipat is usually part of an energizing, stimulating herbal mixture, such as in tiger balm or similar.
