Our Pitta tea is one of four very special teas in our Ayurvedic range. The herbs and spices used for our pitta tea grow in the wild in Nepal. They are collected, dried and well-proportioned by Ayurvedic masters in the low and high altitudes. Our pitta tea can be drunk at any time of day. Our Ayurvedic teas are prepared according to traditional recipes. In Nepal - as hundreds of years ago - Ayurvedic principles are still practised today.
When we have a cup of our Pitta tea in front of us, it looks slightly green to brownish in colour. Its flavour is difficult to define at first: it tastes exotic, simply different and, above all, spicy. At the same time, it is soothing and warm. Even cooled or cold pitta tea can be drunk with pleasure.
Preparation
The temperature of the water for the infusion of Pitta tea should be 85 to 90 °C and the infusion time 5 to 10 minutes.
Ingredients
Parsley sprouts 70 %, coriander sprouts 20 %, marjoram 2 %, holy basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum) 4 %, aniseed 2 %, Indian pennywort (Centella asiatica) 2 %.
