Pai Mu Tan means "White peony". The tea carries this name because the leaves of the Chinese will remember after the infusion of a peony.
All 30,000 of Hand-picked, unopened sheet you need buds for only a kilogram, which is also the Higher cost justifies. As a white it is called, because of the delicate pubescence of the leaf underside appears after drying, as a silvery-white fluff. Also, white tea comes from the same Plant as Black or green tea, however, it remains totally untreated and is spread only in the sun and dried.
TasteThe colour in the Cup Pai Mu Tan shimmers in a bright Ochre, with a gold shade and charmed by the pleasant floral and slightly bitter Note. The flavor is equally balanced, slightly tart and floral. This tea tastes much milder and less tart, like green tea.
Tip
Suitable for Asian cuisine and light dishes such as salads and Desserts. Ideal for between meals or for Breakfast. The only slightly tart tea with a floral Note, is a tender companion of many dishes. Salads and Desserts tastes delicious light Summer. Oriental dishes with legumes, such as Hummus or lentil soup will benefit from the mild, slightly floral taste.
