One of the main ingredients of this wonderful and traditional recipe is Amalaki - the Indian gooseberry. This fruit of the Amla tree contains a high amount of vitamin C and balances all three doshas. It combines five flavors (all except salty).
In the classic Ayurveda texts, Amalaki is praised as one of the best and most important Rasayanas (elixirs of life) of Ayurveda with a rare combination of positive properties. In the authentic Ayurveda scriptures, Amalaki is even described as a "divine plant".

Original Maharishi Ayurveda Chyavanprash contains many other valuable ingredients, such as Dashmool, whose exotic name stands for a valuable combination of ten Ayurveda roots. Dashmool soothes all three doshas, but especially Vata. The famous Indian long-grain pepper Pippali is also part of this extraordinary recipe, as well as Shatavari, the wild Indian asparagus (which Ayurveda traditionally recommends eating, by the way, especially for women), the wonderfully Vata-soothing Ashwagandha (the winter cherry, known as "Indian ginseng") and a high number of other unique ingredients.

Using Chyavanprash

1 to 2 teaspoons of Original Maharishi Ayurveda Chyavanprash pure in the morning, with warm milk/warm water, or as a delicious fruit spread on toast. Can also be used at any other time of the day.

Ingredients

Cane sugar, amla fruit, ghee (clarified butter), honey, vanshlochan (bamboo arundo), long pepper (piper longum), saffron, cinnamon, herb and spice blend.
