Manjistha is our dyer's root and its botanical name is Rubia cordifolia. It is an evergreen climbing plant that grows up to 1.5 meters tall with 5-10 cm long, kidney-shaped leaves and yellowish flowers. Its roots, which are up to 1.5 meters long, are used in Ayurvedic nutrition - a red pigment can also be obtained from its roots, to which the plant owes its German name. The dried root powder, which is finely and gently ground (below 40 °C) during production, comes from the Indian and Sri Lankan Cosmoveda fair trade and organic projects. Thanks to its colour, it is also used in some of Khadi's skin oils, such as Khadi Pink Lotus face and body oil .

Consumption recommendation

Take four capsules of 0.31 g each (0.21 g net content herbal powder) three times a day. The daily consumption corresponds to 2.52 g herbal powder. The specified recommended consumption quantity must not be exceeded.
