Details
Manjistha is called dyer's root and its botanical name is Rubia cordifolia. It is an evergreen climbing plant that grows up to 1.5 metres high with 5-10 cm long, kidney-shaped leaves and yellowish flowers. Its roots, which can grow up to 1.5 metres long, are used in Ayurvedic nutrition - a red pigment can also be extracted from its roots, to which the plant owes its German name. The powder of the dried root, which is finely and gently (below 40 °C) ground during production, comes from the Indian and Sri Lankan Cosmoveda fair trade and organic projects. Thanks to its colour, it is also used in some of Khadi's skin oils, for example in Khadi Face and Body Oil Pink Lotus.
Recommended dosage
Take four capsules of 0.31 g each (0.21 g net content of herbal powder) three times a day. The daily intake corresponds to 2.52 g herbal powder. The recommended daily intake must not be exceeded.
Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet. Keep away from small children.
