The light yellow, slightly nutty-tasting oil is ideal for light salads and raw vegetables, but also for refining your vegetable and rice dishes. Used for steaming, the oil should be gently heated. It is not suitable for roasting and deep-frying.
recipe suggestionLeek with sunflower vinaigrette
Ingredients for 2 people:
- 1 bunch (5 thin sticks) leeks
- 1 tablespoon grain mustard
- 2 tbsp honey vinegar
- 4 tablespoons sunflower oil
- 1 tsp chopped chives
- Salt to taste
Remove the leek roots and leaves and wash the rest carefully under cold water. Bring a large pot of water to a boil with a pinch of salt. Add the leek and cook for about 20 minutes, then drain. For the vinaigrette, mix mustard, vinegar and oil, add salt to taste and garnish with chives. Serve with the leek.
