Icelandic moss does not grow exclusively in Iceland, but in many regions in the far north. Strictly speaking, it is not a moss at all, but a lichen. However, the Icelanders were the first to use the plant as a medicinal herb in the 17th century.
How to use
For a quarter of a litre of tea, brew about one teaspoon of Icelandic moss per cup and leave to infuse for about 5 minutes.
