The capsules contain the dried and ground roots of the Ashwagandha plant. Known in German as winter cherry or sleeping berry, Whitania somnifera is an evergreen, bushy 0.5-1.5 meter tall plant of the nightshade family. It is thus related to plants such as potatoes, tomatoes and deadly nightshades. Ashwagandha has fleshy roots, simple green oval leaves and small spherical orange-red berries. The finely and gently (below 40 °C) ground powder of the dried root comes from Indian and Sri Lankan fair trade and organic projects.

You can also get Ashwagandha in various other dosage forms. Consumption recommendation
Take 3 capsules of 0.36 g each (0.26 g net content herbal powder) three times a day. The daily consumption corresponds to 2.3 g herbal powder.
